Stephen paints almost exclusively from life, trying to capture the feeling and mood of the subject before him. His paintings have a fresh, spontaneous quality that reflect the constant state of change that is seen in nature and in ourselves. He believes that the best way to learn how to paint, is to paint and paint and paint. During this workshop students will paint at least 5 paintings. By doing this much painting, a great deal will be learned about color mixing, brushwork, drawing, edges and values, building confidence in new and known skills. This class is designed for intermediate to advanced.
