Billy Zane co-stars in director Dana Gonzalez’s drama about overcoming adversity and finding strength from unexpected places.
Fresh from her triumph as a monster-slaying Comanche warrior in the well-received Predator prequel Prey, rising star Amber Midthunder has saddled up for Centurion: The Dancing Stallion, director Dana Gonzalez’s family-friendly drama about a young woman’s bond with her horse and the incredible power of the human spirit. Billy Zane (Titanic, Tombstone), Aramis Knight (Into the Badlands), Michael Cimino (Love, Victor), Patricia DeLeon (Station 19), and Sal Lopez (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) co-star in the Lionsgate release, which is coming April 25 to Digital and On Demand.
Written by Boon Collins and based on a true story, Centurion focuses on Ellissia (Midthunder), who adopts a white stallion to train in the art of Mexican horse dancing. As she starts teaching the handsome but previously abused Centurion, Ellissia falls critically ill, which keeps her from competing in a celebrated equestrian event. Under the watchful eyes of her father (Zane), new ranch hand Danny (Knight) steps in as trainer, hoping to win the competition — and, perhaps, Ellissia’s heart.
