Western Life & Style

Balancing rustic styling with contemporary class is tricky, but Wrangler Home does it well

by MICHELLE POWERS GLAZE

Wrangler Home's new Originals Collection features rugged styling reflecting the brand's "all-American heritage and legacy of the Western frontier," says director of licensing George Weldon.

And with the popularity of home entertaining on the rise, the collection's Bear Creek casual dining group provides the perfect setting to turn an evening at home into a memorable occasion. The rectangular table - with a practical butterfly leaf, farmhouse-inspired breadboard top, and textured metal base - seats six to eight guests comfortably ($1,595). Matching chairs with twist-turned legs sport the same rustic-oak finish, as well as decorative nailhead trim, distinctive fabric backing, and leather upholstery seats ($795 with arms; $760 without). If there's a question about where to keep the family's board games, the coordinating sideboard offers ample storage ($1,395). And for even more storage space, a matching removable hutch is also available ($1,295). Featuring pierced fretwork, antiqued-brass handles, and pegging details, these accent pieces are as charming as they are functional.
