Fully enjoy the Tennessee countryside at Long Branch Lakes

By KATHY WISE

This unique and limited project of 10 homes and homesites — each approximately one acre in size — is set amid the 5,000-acre community of Long Branch Lakes in Central Tennessee.

Located atop the scenic Cumberland Plateau in Van Buren County, this remarkable property is a place of rolling pastures, meandering creeks, and covered bridges, making it the ideal location to fully enjoy the Tennessee countryside and its laidback lifestyle. The Bunkhouses have been positioned on the grounds of the Equestrian Village, where the Singleton family formerly operated a dairy farm for nearly 30 years.

From the Equestrian Center, riders enjoy easy access to the community's 30 miles of riding trails and an additional 60 miles inside of the adjacent Bledsoe State Forest. The home designs will range in size from 1,100 to 1,850 square feet. Building is underway for the outdoor arena, where special care has been taken to achieve a multi-disciplinary footing for riders and trainers.

And soon to follow will be an additional 28-stall barn with indoor arena and rider's lounge. The on-site Camp Lake recreation compound (one of two lakefront recreation areas) boasts four tennis courts, a basketball court, adjacent sports fields, and a heated swimming pool complete with a waterfall. Equidistant from Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville (all about 1 ½ hours away), you can always drop in — if the drive is too long — using the Long Branch Lakes helipad.
